% Arabica Manila Roastery is located at the Bonifacio Global City, prime location in the heart of Taguig City in Manila, Philippines. Most significant feature of the store is a roaster room on the mezzanine. Behind kitchen counter, the cantilevered roasting room is partially bumped out from the massive brick wall. The extension of the room appears as if there is a painting on a wall, capturing a roasting machine and gives visitors excitement. The design concept of this store is “complex,” featuring both new and old functions in the history of Manila.

The store contains both futuristic and historic features; futuristic styled buildings in the heart of the city and traditional brick-made houses in old-town in Manila. The store interior captures beautiful contrast of both elements. LED panels are installed on the entire 7-meter-high ceiling. Panels are organized and patterned as a brick wall in different size of scale. In the interior, Eames chairs, which is mid-century modern furniture, but used in a number of contemporary interior scenes, are installed exquisitely in the store. 

Three representative elements of future and past; cantilevered roasting room and the building’s original concrete frame, white coated wall and floor in minimalistic manner and roughly constructed brick wall, and Eames chair, which features both past and contemporary, are complexly interwoven in the entire store.
